This year's goals: we will grow our sacrament meeting attendance from 160 to 175 and we will find 24 people for the missionaries to teach. Our baptism goal: 8.
Our methods to achieve these goals are:
- To prepare ourselves spiritually to effective missionaries, we will ask each family in the ward to study Preach My Gospel for Family Home Evening each week.
- Relief Society sisters will invite a non-member friend to attend a Relief Society activity once a year.
- The Primary will ask the family of each child being baptized to have the missionaries deliver invitations to the families of several of the child's friends to attend the service.
- The Bishop/Ward Mission leader/Full-time Missionaries will invite all adults and youth leaders, ten people at a time, to attend a one-hour class on how to share the gospel.
- The Missionaries will be home teachers to five less-active families at all times as assigned by the Bishop. We will treat them as investigators, using the progress report.
- The High Priest Quorum will have each member of its quorum invite a non-member friend to church at least once in the next year.
- The YM-YW leader advisers will invite a non-member friend each month to lead an activity.
- The Elders Quorum will assign each quorum member to attend the Hawaii Visitors Center at the Temple and see the Joseph Smith Story with a non-member once a year.
- A member of the Bishopric and a member of each Priesthood and Auxiliary Presidency and the Missionaries will confer after meeting each Sunday to list those members who ought to have attended church but did not. We will contact each of them that day and let them know they were missed, to express concern for their well-being, and to offer to help them attend church next Sunday.
- Each member of the Ward Council will be asked to fast and pray together about the Mission Plan whether or not we, as a ward, can achieve them.
